Season 2021 will be very important for Marti. This will be his first season in the Swiss Rotax Max Challenge and if everything goes to plan he can win an invitation to the Rotax Max World Finals which will be hosted in Bahrain.

Still, with the Covid-19 pandemia ongoing winter testing was very limited and very strange. In total Marti had four Saturdays of testing at his home track – Wohlen, but the running on the track was limited only to the afternoons. So, all in all, far from ideal.

The team and Marti had to prepare very thoroughly before every single day of testing and Marti himself had taken another step up in his physical preparation over the winter.

Sun wasn’t always shining, but it wasn’t raining either. Marti tried all kinds of chassis setup changes in order to find extra tenths and at the end his efforts were rewarded with a best time of 41.20 in almost freezing conditions! That effort was quite spectacular because it’s just a few tenths from the pole-position on the same track, but done in the summer.

With testing done, Marti is looking forward to the first race of the season – the Ala Spring Cup!
