In the last January weekend Marti had the chance to test one small and very nimble racing machine – Legends Car. These are tubular space frame chassis cars with classic car like fiber glass body. Equipped with 150 hp motorcycle Yamaha engine and weight of just 380 kg on road tires. These characteristics mean that the car is very nimble with little grip, similar to the cross-car Marti tested at Spa.
The test was once again at Castelletto circuit in Italy, the weather was good for the season, the only minus was the constant traffic of track-day cars.
Expectedly, the car suited Marti and he found the rhythm quite fast as it can be seen from the onboard. The car for him was easy to drive and predictable. At the end of the day his best time was 1:24.6 which was 0.3 sec faster than the time his instructor had posted the previous day on this car’s shakedown.
Legend car racing is as serious alternative for Marti in season 2022 and according to the team with which he made the test, Scuderia 13M, Marti has the potential to fight at the front of the field! Usually in the Italian championship this field consists of over 40 drivers.
